Waimakariri River Mouth

Spring has arrived and with it some strong winds. I didn’t feel like driving too far to get blown off a mountain, so I thought that staying low and close to home was a reasonable idea. I scheduled a very last minute trip in Bottle Lake Forest. A couple of other folks join me on my walking journey: Emma and a prospective member Eva. We walked through the forest all the way to Waimakariri River mouth which was full of whitebaiters. We followed the beach back to Spencerville where we got necessary ice cream, and off we went all the way back where we came from. It was a pretty sweet day out, with a lot of talking, walking, sea birds calling and pine needles underfoot.

About the Author

Michal
I lived a pretty ordinary life for a while. I did my studies, my second studies, my third studies, my first job, my second job, and my third job. I wasn’t really sure what’s going on so, in 2014, I left my home country (Czechia) to learn about the world. I’m still not sure what’s going on but I enjoy it much more. I lived in a few countries before settling in New Zealand.
