Anti Crow Hut with my 14 month old

I always have such a good time when I go out with my kid. He was 14 months old, I carried him all the way to Anti Crow hut and back and we both loved it. I’d like to encourage all dads out there to spend some dad-to-son quality time in the New Zealand backcountry, it’s such a special experience. I know that my kiddo will want to walk by himself soon so I won’t manage to visit too many DOC huts with him on my back. For now, I feel really lucky that he likes being in my pack and that I’m fit enough to carry him around.  I don’t like sharing my son’s face so here is just a few snapshots from this special trip.

Tramped on 24th January 2022.
